What Dental Health Concerns Were You Experiencing Before Visiting Dr. Papp?
I have some underlying medical conditions. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had several back effusions. All medicines have side-effects, and some of those side-effects can be devastating to what goes on inside your mouth. I ended up having severe dental problems and I wasn’t happy with the follow-up. Through their knowledge and guiding me in the right direction, I came out one day, walked into this office without an appointment, I just walked in.
Dr. Papp came out, introduced himself to me, shook my hand, and I gave him a quick explanation of what was kind of going on, and why I was here, the pain I was having. He immediately took me back, did x-rays, did a complete dental exam, and we sat down, and I was probably here for more than two hours that day. He explained to me, “Here are some of the issues that are going on inside your mouth, and this is why you have pain… here, here, and here.” I was embarrassed with the way I looked. To that point, I work in a public facility, and people look at me every day. I would keep my head down and avoid eye contact with people, because I was just so self-conscious that I had missing teeth. It just didn’t look right.
Are You Pleased with the Care Dr. Papp Has Provided?
I go to work every day now, and I’m happy. I smile. I’ve told my customers about the level of care that I’ve gotten here. It’s a whole lot more than just coming to the dentist and leaving. These folks really genuinely care about who we are, what we are, and how we feel. Your dental health comes before the money, and you know that when you come in. Some of my teeth were literally deteriorating and disintegrating right there when I was eating. I don’t have that problem now. I can go eat whatever I want. This place has literally changed my life. It’s made it better.
When I came here, I was depressed with the way things were, I was embarrassed with the way I looked, the way my mouth smelled. It’s all been fixed. It’s been a long road for both Dr. Papp and I. I’ve thrown some challenges at him that he’s had to sit and think about to put things together. But he has always come up with a positive answer.
This guy cares about you. His staff cares about you. I don’t think you can work in this office if you don’t have a love for what you do and for the people that come through that door.
